Al Sharjah sign a second USA player, ex Shiga L-Stars

DeQuan Jones

Al Sharjah (ULB) inked 33-year old American 203cm forward DeQuan Jones (college: Miami, FL) for upcoming season. Jones joins another USA player Devon Scott who is already in the roster.
He played most recently at Shiga L-Stars in Japanese B1 League. In 24 games he averaged impressive 17.2ppg, 5.8rpg and 2.6apg last season. A very good year in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League D2 Honorable Mention. He also played for Nishinomiya (B2 League) in Japan where in 32 games he had very remarkable stats: 16.2ppg, 6.1rpg and 2.7apg. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League D2 Honorable Mention.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
Jones is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to seven different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Jones has played previously professionally in China (Anhui Wenyi), France (Lille Metropole), Israel (Hapoel Holon), Italy (Trieste), NBA (Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers) and NBA G League (Indiana Mad Ants and Stockton Kings).
Among many awards his team won Japanese B League D2 West Division Regular Season in 2021. He received USBasket.com All-NBA G League Most Improved Player of the Year award back in 2018.
Jones graduated from University of Miami in 2012 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
